AP Human Geo - AP Exam TOMORROW at 7:30am!!!

At this point - keep a positive attitude and just try to visualize yourself passing the test (or achieving the score you want). Follow the guidelines we gave you in class for preparation and strategy (attached below). AP Human Geo - Individual Practice Test 5/16 & Review Items

The AP Exam is quickly approaching (7:30am Friday, 5/18) so I hope that you are spending some time each night reviewing in preparation. Check out the 1st Semester Exam and Unit Review Power Points I've attached below. There is also the War Room Activity used to predict FRQ topics for this year. Use your vocabulary cards or check out sites like Quizlet or Study Stack to help you review yoru sexy terms. Don't forget that your 11 FRQs will be due on Thursday, 5/17 - NO EXCEPTIONS! Make sure that you read, understand, and follow the instructions. Work at them at your own pace (be sure to time yourself), but take them serious and put in some time and effort (see previous post for a copy). All make-up work and Unit 6 Test Corrections (if you used reading notes) must be completed by Thursday, 5/17. There are NO GRADES after Thursday, 5/17!

Your Individual Released Practice Test will be Wednesday, 5/16. Make sure you get to class as quickly as possible, pick up the testing materials, and begin working. Don't forget to bring a pencil. This is the true test of your readiness for the exam and will count as a double-weighted test grade. STUDY, STUDY, STUDY!!!

AP Human Geo - 2nd Dinner Review, etc.

In preparation for the AP Exam on Friday, 5/18 I highly recommend that you start looking over your notes from last semester. If you can 15 minutes a night reviewing old notes or working with vocabulary cards it will really make a difference.

Don't forget that you 11 FRQs will be due on Thursday, 5/17 - NO EXCEPTIONS! Make sure that you read, understand, and follow the instructions. Work at them at your own pace, but take them serious and put in some time and effort (see previous post for a copy).

All make-up work and Unit 6 Test Corrections (if you used reading notes) must be completed by Thursday, 5/17.

Don't forget our second optional Dinner Review will be on Monday, 5/14 from 6:00-7:30pm in the WHS Commons Area. The cost is $10 cash which needs to be paid by Friday, 5/11 to reserve a meal. We will be serving Willy's. This session will be different from the first with a competition. In addition, it is a wonderful opportunity to review an entire year's worth of material with your friends, classmates, and all three AP Human teachers. We hope to see you there - remember it could make the difference in your AP Exam score!

AP Psych - Disorder Case Studies & Unit 5 Test on 5/4!

Don't forget that your Mental Disorder Case Studies Handout is due Thursday, 5/3 (I forgot to give it to 6th period, so I have attached it below). In addition, make sure that you are working on the Unit 5 Review Handout (attached in previous post) which is due on Friday, 5/4, the same day as the test. This will be your last test so make it count.

Please study for the AP Exam on Monday, 5/7. Remember to review vocabulary someway, somehow (there are a bunch of items on the page to the right  --->). Make sure to be in the Gym Lobby at 11:30am with regular, not mechanical, pencils and a blue or black pen. NO CELLPHONES or IPODS; leave them in your locker or car! See below for after AP Exam policies:

Students are excused with incentive from all classes on the days they have AP exams. 

Once a senior AP student has taken the AP exam, s/he is no longer required to be on campus for that class period:

• The senior must, however, sign out and in through PPO each time they leave campus.
• If they are on campus during an AP class period after they have taken the exam for that class, they must report to that AP classroom for a study hall.
• They cannot be roaming the building or sitting in the commons.
• They may only go to the media center if their AP teacher signs their agenda to go there.

AP Human Geo - Unit 6 Test 5/1!

Don't forget that everyone has the opportunity to earn a second Enrichment grade for participating in or attending the Global Festival tonight (Friday, 4/27) from 6:30-8:30pm in the WHS Commons Area. This free event will showcase world cultures (including fashion, dance, arts, and food). If you are participating please bring me a note from a sponsor or teacher attesting to your involvement. If you are attending the event please bring me your completed global passport.

The Unit 6 Test will be on Tuesday, 5/1. I encourage you to start reviewing your notes and handouts now in preparation. In addition, I have attached my Power Point Review below and a few handouts that Mr. D made. I will not collect, grade or review these so use them as you see fit. As usual, there will be two optional Review Sessions:  Monday, 4/31 from 3:45-4:15 and Tuesday, 5/1 from 7:45 to 8:15.

AP Psych - Unit 5 Stuff

You survived another AP Psych Test and there is only one more to go. Don't forget that your Development Project is due Friday, 4/27. Also, you might want to get started on Unit 4 Test Corrections as soon as possible because our time together is dwindling.

 I've attached the last two Power Points for this semester. I'm also attaching the Review Handout for Unit 5 which will be a REQUIRED for this last unit and due the day of the test. The Unit 5 Test will be on Friday, 5/4.

AP Human Geo - Notes Review Quiz 4/24

You will have a Review Quiz tomorrow, 4/24 over the notes you have take thus far in Unit 6. It will only cover notes we have discussed in the Power Points, not items from your reading in the book. Don't forget about Unit 5 Test Corrections, Unit 6 Vocabulary, and the upcoming Enrichment Opportunity (see previous posts for information).

Even though you had this course in the Spring you need to review the material, especially the vocabulary, to be successful.
