ATLANTA – Delta Community Credit Union, Georgia’s largest credit union, announces a call for entries for its annual DCC“U” scholarship. The Delta Community Credit Union DCC“U” scholarship program awards three $5,000 scholarships to assist students in their quest for higher education. Based on academic achievement, school/community involvement and a short essay submission, this year the DCC“U” scholarship also introduces a YouTube component, rewarding one Fan Favorite with the chance to showcase his/her first year of college via Delta Community’s social properties. Applications must be received by Friday, April 15, 2011. Winners will be notified and announced by May 16, 2011.

Scholarships are awarded based on the following criteria:
- Applicants and parents (or family member/guardian) must be Delta Community Credit Union members in good standing
- Applicants must be a graduating high school senior and must begin college or technical school as a first-time, full-time freshman in the following semester
- Applicants must submit verification of acceptance at a college or technical school
- Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average
- Applicants must submit official, sealed transcripts and provide SAT or ACT scores
- Applicants must submit a 300-500 word essay responding to the following topic selected by the credit union:
