Bobby Dodd Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship, which is sponsored by the Georgia District Civitan Foundation is for physically challenged individuals with outstanding community service.  First place is $1200 and the first runner up will receive $800.  A 500 word essay is required along with 3 letters of recommendation.  The application is available in the College Corner and must be postmarked by Jan. 31, 2012.

Alice Dodd Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship for college bound high school seniors with outstanding community service is sponsored by the Georgia District Civitan Foundation.  First place is $1200 and the runner up receives $800.  Academics and financial need are reviewed as well.  A 500 word essay is required along with 3 letters of recommendation.  Applications are available in the College Corner.  They must be postmarked by January 31, 2012. 

GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program

Twenty scholarships for college-bound students who demonstrate exemplary leadership, drive, integrity, and citizenship.  These $10,000 scholarships are renwable.  For more information, eligibility requirements and an online applications, visit www.reaganfoundation.org/scholarships.

Janice M. Scott Memorial Scholarship Fund

Janice M. Scott Memorial Scholarship Fund (JMSMSF) 

                Qualification/Eligibility

Must be a US Citizen or permanent resident of US

1. GPA of 3.0/equivalent or higher (out of a 4.0 scale)
2. High School Senior who will matriculate full-time at a US accredited four-year college or university within the fifty states or District of Columbia starting at the beginning of the fall semester or quarter of 2012.
3. Have demonstrated leadership abilities through participating in community services or other extra curricular activities
4. Combined adjusted income of the parents cannot exceed $100,000.

Essays, transcripts, recommendations and financial documents are all required. Pick up the application in the College Corner.

Ronald McDonald House Scholarship

 The Ronald McDonald House Charities seeks to invest in students who are exemplary role models in their communities and have the initiative to fulfill their educational goals.

Georgia State Scholarships

The Office of Undergraduate Admissions and the Honors College at Georgia State University have some exciting opportunities available that we'd like to share. This year we have $750,000 in new scholarship dollars to offer for your best and brightest students!

High-achieving students may be eligible for our top merit awards, such as the Presidential, Berner, and Goizueta Scholarships (please click the links for additional scholarship details). These merit scholarships offer tuition awards, living stipends, study abroad opportunities and research assistantships to our top students. The deadline for these competitive scholarships is fast approaching - students must apply no later than January 3rd, 2012.

Julian and Jan Hester Scholarship

The Community Bankers Association of Georgia (CBA) is sponsoring the Julian and Jan Hester scholarship for 2010.  Four $1000 scholarships will be awarded to high school seniors planning to attend college in Georgia.  The award is based on merit, not financial need.  In addition to the application, an essay and one teacher recommendation is required.  The applications must be submitted to the Association through a CBA member bank.  The deadline is Friday, April 6, 2012.  The application must be submitted to the Association through a CBA member bank. Interested students should contact the CBA to obtain a listing of member community banks in their area.  The student will then contact the bank and ask for sponsorship.
