The Community Bankers Association of Georgia (CBA) is sponsoring the Julian and Jan Hester scholarship for 2010. Four $1000 scholarships will be awarded to high school seniors planning to attend college in Georgia. The award is based on merit, not financial need. In addition to the application, an essay and one teacher recommendation is required. The applications must be submitted to the Association through a CBA member bank. The deadline is Friday, April 6, 2012. The application must be submitted to the Association through a CBA member bank. Interested students should contact the CBA to obtain a listing of member community banks in their area. The student will then contact the bank and ask for sponsorship.
