Criteria:
- Must be a graduating senior from Walton or Pope
- Must be a Timber Ridge alumnus
These one-time scholarships are awarded to the graduating seniors who best exemplify the Timber Ridge motto of "Learning, caring and sharing together". The scholarship is named the Widener-Bega Scholarship in honor of its founders, former principal, Mary K. Widener and former PTA President, Beth Bega.
There are three $500 scholarships available = one each to a Pope and Walton graduating senior and a third to a graduating senior from either school who has achieved an outstanding record and has been identified with a diagnosed learning disability. An essay is required along with two letters of recommendation and a transcript.
