All PTSA Members are invited.
Sessions will be held with Superintendent Fred Sanderson and the Cobb County Central Office Administrators and the Cobb County School Board Members. An afternoon session with the Cobb County Legislative Delegation will also be held.
Please see the attached Cobb County Official School Calendars for 2008-2009 and 2009-2010 school years.
These have recently been approved by the Cobb County School Board. They went with Aug 11, 2008 as the first day of school and a week off for Thanksgiving. Conference Week and Early Dismissal Days will be scheduled later.

Playoff tickets for the November 16 game at WHS vs. Parkview will be sold at the Walton Raider Valley Ticket Booth (entrance to stadium) on Wednesday November 14 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.
General Admission tickets for both students and adults, are $8.00 each. This price is set by the GHSA. Reserved tickets are $10.00 each. Season ticket holders will be given first opportunity to buy their regular season reserved seats.
The GHSA does not honor passes of any kind, so students with 4.0 passes will need to purchase a ticket for the game.

To all parents and students interested in the Walton Lacrosse Program:
The coaches and booster club are hosting a meeting to explain the Walton Lacrosse program and provide information about upcoming activities and tryouts.
If your child is interested in trying out, important information will be distributed Wednesday night, Nov. 14, at 7:30 pm in the Walton Commons.

It’s Holiday time again and the Teacher/Admin/Staff Holiday Luncheon is approaching fast.
You do not have to be on a committee or a volunteer to help for this worthy luncheon. There are many areas that we could use your talents please consider signing up to help serve, cook food, purchase food or give gifts or baskets.
If you are interested in helping please send me an email with WHS holiday luncheon in the subject line and you will receive the list of things needed on Friday, November 9th.

Pre-sale tickets for the Walton vs. Wheeler game (This is also our Senior Night) will be available on the following days:
Wednesday, November 7 from 8:30 am -11:30 am and
Friday from 8:30 am -1:00 pm .
Please sign in at the front desk and you will be instructed where to purchase them.
Reserved tickets are $10.00 each, adult General Admission are $7.00 and pre-sale student tickets are $5.00.
General Admission tickets only will be sold in the Commons on Friday from 10:30 am -1:30 pm.

An important reminder from the PTSA:
Please be reminded to attend an informative parent/teen driving seminar with new information on how to coach your teen driver.
The “Parents Deserve a Brake” seminar will feature touching videos, a proven 10-step plan, and an expert panel to answer your tough questions.
The seminar is hosted by Walton High School, 1590 Bill Murdock Road, Marietta, on Thursday, November 8th at 7:00-9:00 p.m.
Please feel free to bring your teen as this program provides a great opportunity to start dialogue with your teen regarding the risks and responsibilities of learning to drive. A light supper is provided by Chick-fil-A at 6:30 p.m.
