April 27-May 3rd, 2008 Weekly Update Part II

There is some late breaking news at Walton, so this week the weekly update comes in two parts.

JUST IN:

4/29: The Walton Lady Raiders Lacrosse Team made the State playoffs! Come root on the team as they play their first game of the playoffs against McIntosh in Raider Valley tonight at 5 PM. GO LADY RAIDERS!!

4/30: Today is the deadline to order Final Exam Survival Kits if you have student taking all AP classes. Please see attached order form.

Reminder: If you have not already done so, please follow the link below to give your student permission to participate in a survey that should only take about 10 minutes to complete. This will open the electronic consent form. By agreeing, the questionnaire will open up and can be forwarded to your student’s computer.

The researcher is trying to determine if Cobb County public libraries and school media centers are providing effective, quality information resources and services to cater for high school students’ needs.

Seniors, Please Sign for Final Transcript Now

Parents of Seniors! Please have your senior stop by the Records Room in Guidance to sign for a final transcript as soon as possible. They need one for the college they will be attending and NCAA if that applies. These transcripts must be signed for before graduation, because we send out the transcripts on May 27.

Seniors should also bring to Guidance letters showing the scholarship awards they have received. We will make copies. We are sending a note about this to their home room on Monday, April 28. Dr. Higgins always announces the total dollar amount received by Seniors in his graduation speech. Thanks for your help!
